Interactive Smallfilms Exhibit

I Had the fantastic opportunity to work on an interactive table for the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge Smallfilms exhibit. The exhibit showcases the people behind the creation of Bagpuss, a British classic children’s TV show.

The full experience can still be viewed in the Small films Gallery space and at current, the survey has collected 12,000 responses from users.

The project already had an existing design so I was tasked with creating and implementing the functionality of the interactive table in Unity 5, with part of this functionality was the ability to pull user data from a questionnaire to a Google Form.

A lot was taken away from this project in terms of iterative and user experience design, with several playtests being carried out through development to ensure a positive, robust user experience.

The interactive experience has multiple ways of interacting and exploring content including carousels with flip-able tiles, and the ability to explore artefacts such as original scripts. As a bonus I also created a small mini game that taught users the principles of stop motion animation.
